A local scooter rider was in a coma after colliding with a bus in Taipa yesterday afternoon, and was being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesperson Lei Tak Fai told The Macau Post Daily by phone yesterday.
According to Lei, the local male scooter rider is 59 years old while the local male bus driver is in his fifties.
Lei said that according to information gathered at the scene, the scooter rider appeared to have attempted to overtake the bus on the inside opposite the airport in Taipa.
