Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng has ordered public entities to draft their respective 2024 budgets proposing expenditures that “should not” exceed those proposed for this year.
Ho gave the instruction in an executive order published in the Official Gazette (BO) yesterday.
The order states that as Macau’s economy is still recovering, public entities, when preparing their respective budgets for next year, “should prudently assess the necessity and reasonableness of their various budgetary expenditure items”.
