The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement earlier this week that the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) will launch its latest ARTmusing Summer edition which features a raft of activities.

The statement noted that the ARTmusing Summer Workshops are “devised to immerse both kids and grownups into the art world” and is slated to take place from July 1 to August 27. It features workshops for all ages, including curated sessions for families to bond with their children and a chance for seniors to learn new dance moves and acting.

Deep Blue, a children’s puppetry theatre that depicts a “vivid” and “colourful” underwater world is scheduled to take place from July 14-16, the statement added.

Moreover, a multi-media play conceived by the Beijing Da Shan Pai Theatre Art Centre titled “The Little Prince’s Star Journey” will take place from August 12-13 and is based on the novella by French writer and aviator Antoine Saint-Exupéry, according to the statement.

From August 24-27, the statement said that the ARTmusing Film Carnival will screen a raft of “inspiring features carefully chosen from the international scene”, ranging from animation to live action features. ARTmusing Fun, meanwhile, invites families for a funday at CCM on August 27, featuring workshops to short performances.

Lastly, after postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sweet Dream in the Woods is scheduled to take place from September 20-24 and is aimed at babies aged four to 15 months. They will “wander freely in CCM’s stylised forest”, with a pair of dancers leading them to explore while “immersed in the sounds of exotic and traditional instruments”.

Tickets for all programmes will be sold from Sunday at the Macao Ticketing Network.
