Macau recorded a serious COVID-19 case on Saturday, a 51-year-old unvaccinated man suffering from underlying diseases, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced in a statement yesterday.
The man has been put on a ventilator, the statement said.
Yesterday’s statement also announced that 86 COVID-19 infections were recorded on Saturday, when one new COVID-19 patient was admitted to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre for treatment.
According to previous announcements by the centre, 260 COVID-19 infections were recorded on Thursday, when four new COVID-19 patients were admitted to the public Hospital, while 191 infections were reported on Friday, when two new patients were admitted to the public hospital.
Consequently, Macau recorded a total of 537 COVID-19 infections in the three days from Thursday to Saturday.
A total of 159 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to treatment facilities between May 1 and June 10.
Macau’s current peak of COVID-19 infections started early last month.
Macau’s official COVID-19 death toll currently stands at 122.
