SJM Resorts said in a statement on Wednesday that it recently arranged for its Volunteer Team and their families to visit the “Stars Dream Chasing - Thematic Exhibition on Scientist Spirit” at the Macau Science Centre, aiming to “inspire the younger generation to take the lead in the future progress of science and technology and jointly realise the ‘Chinese Dream’”.
The statement noted that the exhibition, which runs through Sunday, features photos, manuscripts, specimens and interactive multimedia, all of which enabled the Volunteer Team and their families to acquire “in-depth knowledge” about the significant contributions made by scientific teams in safeguarding national security and constructing modern defence systems, among others.
The statement added that the exhibition also highlights the stories and “renowned quotes” of the nation’s scientists such as Qian Xuesen, known as the “Father of Chinese Rocketry and Spaceflight”. The exhibition also showcases the nation’s aerospace technology and major infrastructure projects, and also has a dedicated zone to highlight Macau scientists and their accomplishments, according to the statement.
The statement said that SJM staff who attended the event expressed appreciation for its “rich and educational content”, as well as feeling a “deep sense of pride in the nation’s technological advancements”.
