Macau’s 107 hotels and guesthouses recorded 1.02 million guests in September, up 20.2 percent year-on-year, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday.
Guests from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan accounted for 62.8 percent, 12.2 percent and 4.6 percent respectively, up 20.9 percent, 12.5 percent and 40.6 percent respectively.
The number of guests from South Korea leapt 75.5 percent to 29,000.
Guests’ average length of stay remained unchanged year-on-year at 1.4 nights.
