The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) said in a statement yesterday that it signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) on June 30 to explore partnership prospects between USJ’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities and UEH’s School of Media Design.
The statement noted that the cooperation arrangement was developed with the aim of creating a double degree-programme curriculum combining USJ’s Communication and Media programme and UEH’s Bachelor of Digital Media and Multimedia Design programme.
The double-degree programme, which the statement said is expected to be implemented in the 2023-2024 academic year, will enable students from both institutions to study for two years at each university. Upon completing their four years of study, students can get one degree from each university, the statement said.
The agreement, according to the statement, was formally signed by USJ Internationalisation and Academic Affairs Vice-Rector Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, and UEH School of Media Design Dean Assoc. Prof. Trinh Thuy Anh. Also present at the ceremony were UEH President Prof. Sử Đình Thành and UEH Vice President Dinh Cong Khai.
