The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday that it is calling for applications for co-branded products for the 15th anniversary of the Tap Siac Craft Market, with applications open from today through August 17.

Tap Siac is the bureau’s alternate spelling for “Tap Seac”. The statement noted that the craft market has been held annually in the spring and autumn since 2008.

Open to local cultural and creative practitioners, the statement said that the selected participants can design and produce various co-branded products for sale with the “Craft Market” logo to showcase the creativity of Macau’s cultural and creative industries, as well as promote the dedicated activities for the 15th anniversary.

Applicants must be Macau ID holders and aged at least 18, while their products must be of original design and identified with the “Craft Market” logo, according to the statement.

The statement added that 15 participants will be chosen, with the selection criteria including  the cultural and creative elements of the product, relevance to the theme and originality.

The participants can use the “Craft Market” logo to produce various products approved by the bureau  by the end of the “Tap Siac Craft Market in Autumn 2023”, and can operate a booth for at least one week during the event, the statement added.  They can also produce and sell the products on “a self-sustaining basis with the sales proceeds fully at their disposal”
