Six signature restaurants at Sands Resorts Macao and Sands Macao have won accolades from the Wine Spectator 2023 Restaurant Awards for their outstanding wine lists, according to a recent statement from the integrated resort operator.
The statement noted that the awards recognise restaurants whose wine lists “offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers” and have three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award. Over 3,500 restaurants around the world have won awards this year.
The statement said that the properties that won the two-glass “Best of Award of Excellence” comprise Jiang Nan by Jereme Leung and Pin Yue Xuan at The Venetian Macao; The Huaiyang Garden at The Londoner Macao; La Chine at The Parisian Macao; Copa Steakhouse at Sands Macao; and Zi Yat Heen at Four Seasons Hotel Macao.
Pin Yue Xuan and Huiyang Garden, the statement added, are recent additions to the portfolio of restaurants.
Sands China’s Food and Beverage Operations Senior Vice President Tom Connolly was quoted by the statement as saying: “Pairing world-class cuisine with quality wines is essential to a premium dining experience, and our team are doing just that. Guests will be delighted with our expertly curated wine lists, featuring a breadth of wine regions and styles that work in harmony with our menus. Winning the Best of Award of Excellence recognises our efforts and will inspire us to go further in the pursuit of the perfect wine list.”
The statement noted that Wine Spectator is the world’s leading authority on wine and is anchored by Wine Spectator magazine. Sands Resorts Macao’s and Sands Macao’s restaurants have received awards for their exceptional wine lists for ten years.
