As people are getting busier these days, it’s probably only during dinnertime that the family can get together to eat and talk about how good or how bad their day has been.
It’s during this time while preparing meals in the kitchen that brings local singer-songwriter Gilbert Humphrey, aka Beto, and his family into harmony, literally.
“Me and my family always do worship at home, simple worship, acoustic, just us singing with a guitar,” Beto told MPD Weekender recently. “It’s kind of like cooking a quick meal, and we do love singing in the kitchen too, so it’s kind of an artistic way of describing a simple expression of my love towards God and music.”
As the music created in the kitchen and throughout the years gave him positive vibes, he decided to put it on to an album aptly called “Kitchen Gospel” to let people feel and experience the love, hope and faith he has been blessed with.
