The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a mainlander on Saturday on suspicion of at least four cases of pickpocketing on buses since late August.
PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam announced the case in a special press conference yesterday.
Ho identified the suspect as a 32-year-old man surnamed Wei.
According to Ho, the four victims – one per case – reported to the police between late August and early last month that someone had stolen their possessions while they were on the bus.
