The government’s bill on the city’s first non-mandatory central provident fund is set to be submitted to a plenum for a final article-by-article vote by the end of the year, the legislature’s 1st Standing Committee President Kwan Tsui Hang said yesterday.
Kwan briefed reporters after a closed-door meeting of her committee with government officials in the legislative chamber.
The bill’s outline was passed in a plenum of the legislature in June. The committee finished reviewing the draft of the bill in early August, after which the government was set to submit a revised version of the bill to the committee for further review.
