The performance on Saturday was part of the ensemble’s “The Big B’s World Tour”, showcasing music from their latest album - The Big B’s, which pays tribute to the composers whose names begin with the letter B, comprising Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Brubeck and The Beatles.
During the full-house performance, the Janoska Ensemble presented Hungarian Dance No.1 Allegro molto, G minor by Johannes Brahms, Souvenir pour Elise (based on Beethoven’s Für Elise) by František Janoska, !Buenos Días, Marco! for my youngest son by Roman Janoska, Yesterday by The Beatles, Blue Rondo à la Turk by Dave Brubeck, *Oblivion by Astor Piazzolla, and Double concerto for two Violins in D minor, BWV 1043 by J.S.Bach.
The ensemble also involved several musicians from Hong Kong in their performance which earned all of them strong applause. Sands China President & Executive Director Wilfred Wong Ying-wai attended the performance and posed with the musicians on stage.
