Lawrence Ho becomes Melco Crown’s COO

Melco Crown Entertainment said in a statement yesterday that its chief operating officer (COO), Ted Chan Ying-tat, “has resigned for personal reasons”. 

According to Melco Crown Entertainment’s website, Chan was appointed to the post in February 2012, after which he oversaw all of the company’s business units. He had served as president of Altira Macau since November 2008 and the company’s co-chief operating officer since September 2010. Previously, he worked for First Shanghai Financial Holding, Melco International Development, Mocha Clubs and Amax Entertainment Holdings, according to the website. Chan is said to be in his forties. 

The statement quoted Lawrence Ho Yau-lung, the company’s chairman and CEO, as thanking Chan “for his many contributions to the company”.
