The Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) held its “Web and Application Accessibility Workshop (2023)” on Saturday, where its basic concepts and elements were introduced while “accessibility tests via useful tools and case sharing” were also conducted, according to a statement from the bureau on Monday.
The event was held at the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre’s (CPTTM) auditorium.
The statement noted that the bureau hoped to raise the public’s awareness of web and application accessibility through the activity, as well as the importance and advantages of the related design to encourage “all sectors of the community to follow the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines’ 2.1 AA-level standard, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)”.
Around 25 people participated in the workshop, the statement said.
