Wynn Macau, in partnership with AEG Presents Asia and H.A.H. Entertainment, will host “HallyuPopFest” in Macau for the first time, with the event slated to take place from October 21-22 featuring “some of the biggest names in K-pop” performing on Wynn Palace’s outdoor lawn in Cotai, according to a joint statement from the organisers.

The statement noted that the two-day event will feature 10 “star-studded acts”, with headliners including NCT DREAM and SHINee alongside HYOLYN, KARD, Sam Kim, VERIVERY, Cherry Bullet, OMEGA X, H1-KEY, and NINE to SIX.

The statement added that NCT DREAM will open the first night and SHINee will headline the second night, with VIP guests invited to attend Red Carpet events for “up-close and personal encounters” with their favourite artistes on both days.

Moreover, Hi-Wave Meet & Greet events will also be held for fans to meet their K-pop idols. Visitors to the event will also be able to taste K-Food and drinks, as well as enjoy photo opportunities and activities, at HallyuTown on the lawn.

President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Wynn Macau Linda Chen Chih-ling was quoted in the statement as saying: “By hosting major international music festivals such as these at Wynn Palace, our goal is to put Macau on the map as a top-tier destination for international events. Wynn will continue to play a proactive role in advancing Macau’s tourism industry, promoting the integration of “Tourism + Events”, contributing much more towards achieving appropriately diversified economic development and boosting international visitation for Macau”.

AEG Presents Asia’s President & CEO Adam Wilkes added: “The event has grown into a fan favourite around the world, and we are thrilled to be producing the very first outdoor version of the event on the brilliant Wynn Palace lawn”.

H.A.H. Entertainment CEO and HallyuPopFest founder Selena Ho said: “Since the 2018 HallyuPopFest inaugural, we have journeyed across three continents - Asia, Europe and Australia. Over the five years, HallyuPopFest has hosted more than 300 K-pop artistes, 71 million tweets globally and more than 70,000 fans have experienced the excitement of the festival”, with its fifth edition being special as it will be their first outdoor lawn version.
