Macau recorded a total of 615 COVID-19 infections from August 18 to 24, the Health Bureau (SSM) announced on its COVID-19 website on Friday.

A total of two new COVID-19 patients were admitted to treatment facilities in the seven days.

No COVID-19 fatalities were recorded in the seven days.

This came after the city recorded a total of 412 COVID-19 infections in the previous seven days between August 11 and 17, during which a total of five new COVID-19 patients were admitted to treatment facilities.

Rising trend again?

The latest COVID-19 official data appeared to suggest a possible rising trend in COVID-19 infections again.

The city recorded 316 COVID-19 infections between July 14 and 20, 321 infections between July 21 and 27, 330 infections between July 28 and August 3, and 394 COVID-19 infections between August 4 and 10.

Macau had not recorded any COVID-19 fatalities for 67 consecutive days, from June 19 to August 24, after the latest COVID-19 fatality was recorded on June 18.

Macau’s official COVID-19 death toll currently stands at 124.
