A solo exhibition titled “Interior Landscapes” by Mozambican artist Suzy Bila is currently hosted by Amagao Gallery at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau hotel.
The exhibition runs through October 6 and is a Collateral Exhibition for “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2023.”
According to a recent joint statement by Artyzen and Galeria 57 Macau Limitada, which manages the gallery, Bila invites visitors to immerse themselves in the “enchanting realm of abstract forms, palettes, emotions, and boundless creativity”. They are also invited to experience the synergy between imagination and the canvas.
Bila was quoted in the statement as saying: “My art reflects life’s responses to questions. Each moment carries its unique intensity, unscripted and unforeseen. My soul awakens in a world of hope, immersed in a future where my people’s stories entwine with myriad emotions”
She added: “Amid life’s hardships, we’re transformed; and in absolute silence, we hear the Earth’s agonising cries. In this place, I allow myself to feel my senses, where sky meets sea.”
Whether displayed through vivid hues or monochromatic shades, Bila’s artistry, the statement noted, encapsulates the essence of transcendence and spontaneity.
The gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
Amagao is one of the various alternative names of Macau.
