The Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and Macau Oral History Association is holding a photo exhibition of Communist Party of China (CPC) war relics at the temporary gallery of the Macau Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) at its headquarters on Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held yesterday with the attendance of, among others, National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Vice Chairman Edmund Ho Hau Wah and the deputy director of the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR), Yin Rutao.

The exhibition will be held until September 22 to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, showcasing over 40 pictures of Macau during that time.

During yesterday’s opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance Against Japanese Aggression Lai Shengliang said that all walks of life in Macau during the war had been supporting the nation’s struggle against Japanese aggression and showed the spirit of resistance, hoping that through the exhibition, Macau citizens could gain a more comprehensive understanding of the history of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and further inherit and promote the great patriotic spirit of the nation.

Macau Oral History Association President Lam Fat Iam said he hopes that the Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance Against Japanese Aggression will set up a special museum related to Macau in the future, and hold an exhibition in both Beijing and Macau next year to show the content related to Macau during the war.
