The Collective Wisdom Policy Centre yesterday urged the government to update the city’s “antiquated” laws and regulations on the financial sector, as, according to the local think, they fail to meet the development concepts listed in the government’s recent Five-Year Development Plan.
The think tank, which is affiliated to the Macau General Union of Neighbourhood Associations, commonly known as Kai Fong, held a forum yesterday to discuss the development of financial businesses with “special features” in the city.
The forum was held in the office of local online media website “UTV”, which is run by Kai Fong, in Avenida de Venceslau de Morais.
