Andaz Macau, the eighth hospitality brand in Galaxy Macau’s sprawling resort and the largest Andaz property worldwide, was launched on Friday, with the new hotel featuring over 700 rooms and suites.
The new property is the brand’s first and only hotel in the city. The hotel, according to a Galaxy Macau statement on Friday, is inspired by local art, culture and architecture, and aims to immerse guests in the “real Macau”.
It features a collection of artworks and artefacts that pay homage to the city’s heritage “while looking to the future”, the statement noted, with highlights including steel sculptures by Malaysian artist Tang Mun Kian titled “Juxtapose” and “Macau Steps”, a staircase that reveals stories of the city’s past and present through over 100 videos that create a multisensory experience.
The statement added that the property’s two hotel towers give guests access to both nearby attractions and Galaxy’s facilities such as its Galaxy International Convention Centre (GICC) and the Galaxy Arena.
The hotel features a dedicated check-in lounge for large MICE groups, a heated 19-metre indoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, and complimentary access to the Grand Resort Deck at Galaxy Macau, according to the statement.
Moreover, the statement said that guests at the hotel can sample Portuguese, Macanese and “neighbourhood” dishes at Andaz Kitchen, or cocktails prepared by the hotel’s expert mixologists or local beer at Andaz Bar. Adjacent to Andaz Kitchen is the Andaz Studio, a multi-function venue that can host up to 80 people for MICE events and master chef cooking classes, among others.
Andaz Lounge on Level 6, meanwhile, offers a space that enables guests to network over coffee, or relax after a day of exploring.
The hotel is currently offering the “Experience the Real Macau” Opening Package until December 31 from 1,698 patacas and features a one-night’s stay at the property and a breakfast buffet for two at Andaz Kitchen, among others.
