Macau wins silver in karate in Hangzhou

At the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, Macau won a silver medal in the men’s individual karate competition yesterday.

The silver medal was won by local karate-ka Kuok Kin Hang who was defeated by his Japanese opponent Kazumasa Moto who scored 43.0, in the men’s individual karate with a score of 39.8.

In the first round held yesterday morning, Kuok qualified in second place in the group competition of the men’s individual karate, and then came first in the second round with 41.5 points, and made it into the final.

Macau’s athletes have so far won one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
