The well-known acrobatic dance show “Alice” by North American dance company MOMIX will take to the stage for seven shows at the Macau Cultural Centre’s (CCM) Grand Auditorium from December 21 to 25, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a recent statement.

The show is inspired by the story “Alice in Wonderland” by English author, poet, mathematician and photographer Lewis Carroll (1832-1898), where MOMIX’s artistic director and choreographer Moses Pendleton will take families on “a journey filled with eccentricity, fantasy and movement”.

The statement added that the “circus-like adaption” will feature familiar characters and “visionary ideas”, skilled dancers donning colourful costumes, and special effects as well as a “sophisticated design”.

The statement said that MOMIX was founded in 1980 and has been touring different parts of the world. They have also performed the show “Opus-Cactus”, a desert inspired production, in Macau around 20 years ago.

Ticket prices for the show range from 200 patacas to 500 patacas, with various discounts, and can be bought at CCM, the Macao Ticketing Network, and the Damai and Maoyan platforms, according to the statement. More details can be found on www.icm.gov.mo and www.ccm.gov.mo, enquiries can be made by calling 2840 0555.
