The annual MGS Entertainment Show 2023, organised by the Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA), will take place at Hall C of the Galaxy International Convention Centre (GICC) in Cotai next Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to a press conference yesterday, the show aims to “build a platform for discussion and exchange between local participants and global players and explore innovative solutions for Macau’s entertainment, technology and tourism industries, which are contributing to Macau’s economic recovery and enriching its connotation as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”.

The press conference was hosted at the Forum Macao Complex in Nam Van yesterday. The two-day event comprises about 35 exhibitors from “diverse sectors” such as leisure and entertainment, technology, hotel and integrated resort (IR) suppliers, facilities, equipment and services, information technology (IT), security products and services, uniforms, as well as consulting and professional services, among others.

MGEMA Chairman Jay Chun (陳捷) said he expected the event, covering over 3,000 square metres in the exhibition area, to attract more than 5,000 professional visitors and tourists from all over the world.

In the hope of telling the “Macau story” from the perspective of leisure technology, according to Chun, the event will, for the first time since the three-year-long suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bring “numerous” new entertainment devices and games to Macau, with executives of the city’s six integrated resort (IR) operators, representatives of entertainment equipment manufacturers and high-end guests expected to join a one-day summit on the sidelines of the show.

The MGS Entertainment Show, originally known as Macau Gaming Show (MGS), has been taking place in Macau since 2013.
