The Broadway Macau Hotpot Festival is back and is on until March 31, with the 150-metre-long Broadway Food Street transformed into the “most diverse and largest” hotpot street in the city, integrated resort operator Galaxy Macau said in a recent statement.

The statement noted that the food street’s restaurants will offer over 50 hotpot and clay pot dishes, with highlights such as Cantonese-style hotpots including traditional Braised Lamb Brisket Casserole and Taiwanese Fish Head and Chinese Herbs Hot Pot, according to the statement.

Moreover, there are authentic hotpot flavours from Guangdong, Sichuan and Shandong provinces, along with highlights such as the Thai Tom Yum Kung Seafood Hot Pot, Korean Army Stew, Singaporean Laksa Hot Pot, and Japanese Sukiyaki. Local favourites Cheng Chau Lam Kei and Hoi Ngan Hoi Kei will also offer their famous aromatic Pork Bone Casserole with Chicken Feet and fresh Beef Hot Pot.

The statement said that a Macau staple and a favourite from past festivals is the Braised Lamb Brisket Casserole from Wui Sik Fong - Lei Ka Choi, which features succulent grass-fed Chinese black lamb, slow-cooked in a clay pot over charcoal, and enriched with water chestnuts and carrots.

The statement added that Du Hsiao Yueh introduces two traditional Taiwanese dishes epitomising a “nourishing and health-preserving philosophy: the Chicken, Old Ginger, and Black Sesame Oil Casserole, and the Pork Kidney, Liver, and Chinese Yellow Wine Casserole.

Moreover, other Asian countries are showcasing a range of spicy flavours. Among them are the Thai Tom Yum Seafood Hot Pot from Wui Sik Fong that combines sour, spicy, fresh, and sweet flavours; The Japanese Sukiyaki from Chi Sasa that features high-quality American beef short ribs and a variety of ingredients that absorb the beef’s essence, and sweet soy sauce; and the Korean Army Stew from Apgujeong by Kim’s Korean Cuisine, which has a unique base and includes various ingredients like kimchi, pork, and cheese, paired with chewy Korean ramen.
