Tatler Asia’s first regional Tatler Ball took place at The Londoner Macao’s Arena on Friday, which was attended by “influential personalities” and saw awards presented to Asia’s Most Influential individuals and recognised their achievements, according to a statement provided on behalf of Tatler Asia on Saturday.
Over 300 guests from across Asia attended the event, which featured entertainment highlights from several performers, according to the statement, while guests were given a five-course meal from top restaurants at The Londoner Macao.
The statement noted that Sands Global Ambassador David Beckham, who was also among the guests, presented the Global Impact Award to Prof. Dennis Lo Yuk-ming, who made contributions to the field of life sciences, including his work on the Fragma technique, which “allows for the development of blood tests capable of detecting early-stage cancer”.
Meanwhile, The Golden Cane Award was presented to Thai actor, singer and model Bright Vachirawit. The award was presented with the support of Chaplin Award Asia by Kiera Chaplin, granddaughter of the late English comic actor, filmmaker and composer Charlie Chaplin, and acknowledges “outstanding achievements in box-office success, critical acclaim and fan adoration”. Lastly, the Style Award was presented to Japanese model and singer Kōki.
Tatler Asia CEO and Chairman Michel Lamunière was quoted by the statement as saying: “By bringing together Asia’s Most Influential individuals and honoured guests, we had the privilege of showcasing the remarkable talent and visionary leaders who are not only shaping our region, but also leaving an indelible mark on a global scale.”
Moreover, Sands China President Wilfred Wong Ying-wai added: With our heartfelt hospitality, delightful gastronomy, and curated moments throughout the evening, I hope every guest truly enjoyed this glamorous and unforgettable experience, a Sands Lifestyle experience.”
