A local male casino PR staff has been arrested for drunk driving, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Lam Keong said during a regular press conference on Monday.
The 40-year-old suspect is surnamed Wong.
According to Lam, a police officer on patrol in Avenida da Amizade discovered a traffic accident involving two vehicles on Saturday night. Lam noted that Wong, the driver of the car that collided with the car in front of him, showed signs of alcohol consumption, and a breathalyser test detected his alcohol concentration as 1.94 grammes of alcohol per litre of blood.
Under questioning, Wong admitted to drinking in a restaurant in Zape earlier that day.
Wong has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing a drunk-driving charge, Lam said.
