A temporary post counter will be set up in the Philatelic Shop of the General Post Office (GPO) in Largo do Senado to provide commemorative postmark cancellation services for the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR), the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) said in a statement on Thursday.
The counter will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 20, a public holiday, the statement noted. Commemorative envelopes will also be available on the day. The envelopes will be priced at four patacas each.
Macau reverted from Portuguese to Chinese administration at midnight on December 19, 1999.
