Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng travelled to Beijing yesterday for his annual duty visit where he will brief state leaders about the local government’s work this year.
The Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) announced Ho’s three-day visit to the capital in a statement on Friday.
According to the statement, Ho will also brief the state leaders about the local government’s policy guidelines for next year. As is customary, the statement did not name beforehand the state leaders that the chief executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) will meet during the annual duty visit.
Ho’s entourage includes his chief-of-cabinet Hoi Lai Fong.
Secretary for Administration and Justice André Cheong Weng Chon is acting chief executive during Ho’s ongoing three-day working visit.
Ho is scheduled to return to Macau tomorrow.
