The Macau Grand Prix has wrapped up but the racing excitement continues, for preschoolers anyway, as they showed off their balancing, co-ordination and steering skills while striding their pedal-less bicycles in grand prix fashion—geared up in racing suits, helmets and knee and elbow pads—last weekend.
The 1st Balance Bike Macau Grand Prix was held at the Venetian last weekend and saw a total of 119 boys and girls aged 2 to 4 split into 11 categories race to the finish line.
The event was organised by the Balance Bike Association Macau, officially registered just last month by a group of parents whose children have been learning to ride with a balance bike, and some already have been competing, and winning, balance bike races overseas.
