Wynn Macau has been officially certified as a “Responsible Gambling Model Unit” for its commitment towards promoting responsible gaming to the local community and its staff, according to a statement from the integrated resort (IR) operator.

The company has recently been presented with the “Macau Responsible Gambling Trainer” and “Macau Responsible Gambling Advisor” certificates during the “Responsible Gambling Promotions 2023 – Seeking Help for Winning the Future” closing ceremony, which was jointly organised by the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS), the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) and the Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming of the University of Macau (ISCG). Wynn Palace, meanwhile, had received the certification in 2022.

Wynn has launched a raft of educational Responsible Gaming promotions over the years, while also upholding the motto of “Responsible Gaming – Know Your Limits”, according to the statement.

Wynn has launched a series of educational Responsible Gaming promotions over the years while upholding the “Responsible Gaming – Know Your Limits” motto, according to the statement. The most recent was a partnership with local drama association “The Funny Old Tree Theatre Ensemble” to produce a community drama called “Dream Paradise”, where the main character “helps his family overcome the adverse impacts of problematic gambling through a series of adventures”, according to the statement.

The statement said that the partnership was in line with the Responsible Gaming Promotions 2023 theme of “Seeking Help for Winning the Future”. They launched the “Dream Paradise” Responsible Gaming Promotions Campus and Community Drama Roadshow with a kick-off ceremony at Wynn Macau, which was attended by representatives from government entities and supporting units, the statement said, while nearly 150 local students from different schools were at the premiere, with parents also receiving an illustrated storybook.

The theatrical production was staged at schools and throughout the community in October and November 2023.  The statement said that the drama and roadshows promoted the responsible gaming message of smart money management, responsible play, and how to seek help.
