Eligible staff members working for Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), Wynn Macau, Limited and Melco Resorts & Entertainment are set to receive their discretionary bonuses, the three integrated resort (IR) operators have recently announced in separate statements.

GEG noted in their statement that eligible staff at Senior Manager grade and below will receive a discretionary bonus equivalent to a month’s base salary and guaranteed tips (if applicable), benefitting around 98 percent of its staff, to be paid on January 31.

GEG Vice Chairman Francis Lui Yiu Tung was quoted in the statement as saying that his staff members’ “support and encouragement have been one of the key driving forces behind GEG’s development”.

He added: “In the past year, GEG and all our team members have worked as one to seize the opportunities arising from post-pandemic recovery whilst advancing amid stability, and embark on a new chapter of diverse business development through our Phase 3 projects”, thanking staff for their long-standing contributions and efforts.

Moreover, also on January 31, Wynn Macau, Limited will pay eligible full-time staff a “Special Allowance” equal to one month’s gross salary, benefitting 96.7 percent of its 11,180 staff across its two properties.

Wynn Macau, Limited President and Vice-Chairman of the Board Linda Chen Chih-ling was quoted as saying: “We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt efforts of each team member and their shared commitment to service excellence, which together nurture and sustain the exceptional culture and customer- centric mindset that sets Wynn apart”.

Lastly, in Melco’s statement, eligible non-management staff members will be paid their one-month discretionary bonus before the Chinese New Year (CNY), while a 2.5 percent base salary increase for non-management staff in Macau is slated to be effective from April 1.

Melco Resorts & Entertainment Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho Yau-lung was quoted by the statement as saying: “The bonus payout and base salary increase recognise the dedication, loyalty and hard work of our eligible non-management Colleagues. We are thankful for all our Colleagues’ commitment and efforts in maintaining Melco’s service excellence and for their delivery of the most memorable experiences to our guests.”

Earlier last week, both Sands China and MGM announced their discretionary bonus for their staff, as reported by the Post on Friday.
