The government could help young entrepreneurs by providing business-related courses, University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration Associate Professor Matthew Liu Ting-Chi said yesterday.

Liu made the remarks at a forum on youth entrepreneurship hosted by the Macau Wisdom Convergence Network at Flower City Garden in Taipa.

“Aside from financial aid,” Liu said, “the government could provide finance or accounting training for young people who want to start their own business.” Training would be helpful because while young entrepreneurs may be skilled and talented, they may not know much about running a business, according to Liu.
