The New Macau Gaming Workers’ Rights Union complained to the Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau (DICJ) yesterday about the government’s proposal to ban off-duty dealers from entering local casinos.
The bureau said in July that it was studying the feasibility of banning gaming workers from entering local casinos during their free time. The bureau said it was also analysing whether such a ban should only include dealers or all staff employed by gaming operators.
According to the government, the ban would be aimed at reducing the risk of gaming staff becoming addicted to gambling.
