The Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) said in a statement on Friday that its MPU-Bell Centre of English has recently launched English learning courses for the first quarter which are still open for registration.

The statement noted that the courses cover “diversified areas” such as IELTS international English test preparation, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) training, and the Teacher Training series, with the courses having been included in the “DSEDJ Continuous Improvement and Development Programme”.

The statement said that the courses aim to allow participants at different levels to select appropriate English courses to enhance their own proficiency. Among the courses offered are the IELTS training courses, which the statement said will offer comprehensive training at intermediate levels and two types of targeted training courses: Productive Skills (writing and speaking) and Receptive Skills (reading and listening). Meanwhile, the newly added SAT English series provides English preparation for the SAT test organised by the College Board.

The statement said that aside from the DSEDJ subsidised courses, the centre also offers exclusive courses and enables participants to take classes in “a flexible mode”, adding that each course is tailored to meet one’s needs for English learning. English at all levels, service industry (such as hotels and tourism, catering, transportation) and business English (including public speaking and presentation, writing emails/letters/annual reports), are among the classes to be offered.

The statement said that all courses are conducted in a small size class, enabling “full interaction between trainers and students with immediate feedback”. More information and details can be found on https://bellcentre.mpu.edu.mo or by calling 8599 3163.
