Integrated resort (IR) operator Wynn Macau, Ltd. launched its immersive space travel-themed exhibition “Illuminarium” at Wynn Palace in Cotai on Friday, enabling visitors to enter a journey through space and time.

A Friday statement provided by the IR noted that Illuminarium honours the achievements of China’s aerospace industry over the past 30 years and is a gift celebrating the upcoming 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR).

A separate statement provided during a media preview session on Thursday noted that the exhibition comprises two sections, the first of which enables exhibition-goers to travel 1,000 years back in time to explore the mysteries of the universe and learn about China’s achievements in the aerospace industry.

The second, meanwhile, allows visitors to take part in an interactive experience that blends science and technology, enabling them to walk on the Moon and explore scenes of the universe, among others.

In her speech on Friday, Wynn Macau, Limited President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director Linda Chen Chih-ling was quoted by the statement as saying: “Illuminarium has been designed with the aim of supporting the appropriate diversified development of Macau, and we look forward to ensuring that this brand-new immersive destination serves as a far-reaching educational platform, creates a more diversified experience for visitors, and makes significant contributions to Macau’s tourism industry.”

Following the ceremony, a sharing session entitled “Beauty and Knowledge of Space” by three guest speakers was also held, along with a gala dinner.
