Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said in a regular press conference yesterday that 27 females have separately fallen for concert ticket scams.
Lei noted that out of the 27 cases, over 20 cases were related to an outdoor gig at the Olympic Sports Centre Stadium by K-Pop band Seventeen on Saturday and Sunday.
According to Lei, the majority of the 27 victims were young people, including four local residents. They fell for the scam by purchasing concert tickets online, losing a total of 105,000 patacas. The largest loss reported in a single case involved HK$12,000.
