‘Macao·Hengqin Craft Market’ to kick off on Thursday

The “Macao·Hengqin Craft Market” is slated to kick off on Thursday at Ponto Legend Square in Hengqin and last through Sunday, according to a statement by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) on Friday.

Over 100 cultural and creative products and gastronomy stalls, which will be operated by entities from Macau and different provinces and cities in the mainland, will be featured, the statement noted. Singers from Macau and Guangdong will also perform at the event.

The details of the upcoming event were announced during a press conference on Friday at the Citizen Service Centre of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, according to the statement. It was attended by IC President Leong Wai Man and Deputy Director of the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, Feng Fangdan, with both bureaus jointly organising the upcoming event.

The statement added that in collaboration with supporting entities Sanxingdui Museum and the Jingdezhen Ceramic Research Institute, the Livelihood Affairs Bureau has organised special exhibition booths dedicated to the museum and the institute, showcasing the charm of Chinese history and culture. Moreover, music performances, creative workshops, the “YOUNG Art Exhibition” and the “Artistic and Cultural TALK” will be held.
