Swiss watch brand Longines unveiled its newly expanded boutique at Galaxy Macau in Cotai yesterday, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the integrated resort (IR).

The outlet now spans at over 1,300 square feet (120.8 square metres) and marks its ninth year at Galaxy Macau, a Longines statement provided at the event noted.

The statement added that the brand’s boutiques worldwide have undergone a “comprehensive image update” since celebrating its 190th anniversary, with each designed under “THE LONGINES RESIDENCE” concept. The Swiss watchmaker has been based in Saint-Imier since 1832.

Housing Longines latest collections and a selection of historical timepieces from the Longines Museum in Switzerland, the upgraded boutique features the brand’s classic blue colour. Moreover, its Signature Wall pays homage to its long-lasting and strong commitment to equestrian sport, according to the statement, while the Concierge Bar is inspired by aviation design.

The ceremony was attended by specially invited guests and key representatives of the brand. Longines CEO Matthias Breschan was present at the event and remarked on the brand’s confidence in the Macau market as one of the world’s best hospitality and shopping destinations, particularly for those from the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
