“Unique Vision: Alex Chao Io Chong’s Solo Photography Exhibition” is being held at the Creative Macau gallery on the ground floor of the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM), with the local photographer giving exhibition-goers a chance to peep through his lens until Saturday.
All the works Chao is showcasing at the free-admission exhibition are for sale, with proceeds to be donated to Caritas Macau, according to a recent statement from the gallery.
Born in 1965, the statement noted that Chao has been engaged in professional photography and visual arts education and creation for over 30 years, and he had even worked as a professional photographer at the Mandarin Oriental in Macau. He is a graduate of the Macao Polytechnic Institute, now the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), where he also served as the director of the Photography Studio of its School of Arts, the statement noted.
The statement added that Chao has “many years of photographic research and practice, especially in the development of photography”, and has extensive experience in areas such as book editing and exhibition planning.
The gallery is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, except public holidays. More details can be found on www.creativemacau.org.mo
