A local woman aged about 80 died after being run over by a car in Patane district yesterday evening.
According to the Fire Services Bureau (CB), the woman was stuck under the vehicle, and when the car was jacked up, firemen noticed that the woman was bleeding, had sustained bone fractures and had stopped breathing.
She was taken to the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre (CHCSJ) and was declared dead on arrival, according to the Fire Services Bureau.
