The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced in a statement yesterday that a middle-aged local woman committed suicide in a hospital toilet yesterday.
According to the statement, the Judiciary Police were notified by the Public Security Police (PSP) at 4:39 a.m. about a patient’s apparent suicide.
The statement noted that a nurse discovered a patient who had apparently committed suicide and called for assistance, after which a doctor failed to resuscitate the victim.
The statement did not reveal how the victim committed suicide nor in which hospital she was staying.
According to the statement, a preliminary examination of the body showed that no suspicious or possible criminal-induced injuries were found on the deceased. The exact cause of death is pending the outcome of a forensic examination.
No suicide note was found at the scene.
