Speaking to reporters on the spot, PJ officers said the Fire Services Bureau (CB) received a report about the blaze at about 4:40 a.m. and found a number of scooters on fire when they arrived.
The PJ officers said the fire spread due to strong wind, causing damage to an area measuring 10 by 30 metres. Four entrances of nearby shops were damaged, and the ceiling of a car park on the first floor of the building was blackened by smoke.
