42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition to accept applications from April 26

Applications for the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition will be accepted from 10 a.m. on April 26 to 4 p.m. on May 6, with residents able to register for the Chinese or Western instrument categories or vocal categories on their Macao One Account, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday.

The competition will be hosted from late July to mid-August and is dedicated to both Chinese and Western instruments.

This edition’s regulations have been adjusted, the statement noted, adding that the “Chinese Instrumental Ensemble” category will be divided in “Guzheng Ensemble” and “Chinese Instrumental Ensemble”, and that the organiser will determine each participant’s performance time based on the number of registrants.

The statement urged participants to read the Competition Regulations, which are to be published on www.icm.gov.mo/CJMM in due course, prior to registering

Regarding the applications, the statement added that for individual registrations, one must open an individual account on Macao One Account in advance, while institutions authorised to submit documents on behalf of participants or conduct group registration must open an entity account, for which the approval process takes 15 working days.
