A collective exhibition titled “12 Glowing Years” is being held at the Rui Cunha Foundation (FRC) gallery until Saturday, with the works of 50 invited artists who had previously exhibited at the venue on display.
The non-profit organisation was established on April 28, 2012 and according to a statement from the gallery, it has hosted over 1,600 events since then.
The current exhibition is themed “free and inclusive of all styles” and aims to be “the consecration of a complete 12-year cycle filled with activities that cheered the territory’s multiculturalism”, while a certain influence of the Chinese zodiac wheel on some of the exhibits is noticeable, the statement noted.
Among the many participating artists are Ada Zhang (張洪), Alice Ieong (楊雅琪) Benson Lam (林蔭生), Cai Guo Jie (蔡國傑), Christoper Lee (李永光), Denis Murrell (馬斯維), Giulio Acconci (夏利奧), Gonçalo Lobo Pinheiro, He Jian Guo (何建國), Huang Shao Qiong (黃少瓊), Jet Wu (胡智杰), José Basto da Silva (施若瑟), Kari Mak (麥嘉梨), Lai Sio Kit (黎小傑), Natalie Lao (劉春紅), Minnian Ng Ka Ian (伍嘉欣), Pak Keong Sequeira (百強), Rhys Lai (賴燕廣), Yun Fung Chan (任風塵), and Zheng Yu (鄭宇).
The statement added that the works on display feature those created through mediums such as painting, calligraphy, seal engraving, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and “new artistic media”.
One can visit the free admission exhibition from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
