Two locals and a Malaysian have been cheated in three separate online scams, a Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesperson announced during a regular briefing yesterday.
According to the spokesperson, one of the victims, a local man surnamed Chan, is 27 years old.
Chan met a woman through mobile messaging app WeChat in November, according to the spokesperson. The woman told Chan that she was a masseuse. Chan then told that he wanted her to give him a massage.
Before Chan met the woman on Friday as arranged, the woman asked Chan to buy an 814 pataca virtual point card and send her the serial number and password printed on the card.
