In response to several dozen noise complaints between New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day which failed to trigger prompt action by the authorities, the Public Security Police (PSP) and Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) promised yesterday that they will strengthen communication and co-operation when handling such complaints in the future.

The police received 55 noise complaints, including 21 about the SKY 21 restaurant bar on the rooftop of AIA Tower in Nam Van, from New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day, according to local media reports.

Speaking on the sidelines of a regular briefing, PSP spokesman Fong Cheong Chun said: “We [the police] will strengthen communication with the Environmental Protection Bureau.”
