Changes at Mandarin’s House, old firecracker factory opening hours for 34th MAF

The operating hours for certain parts of Mandarin’s House on Travessa de António da Silva and the Former Iec Long Firecracker Factory in Taipa will be adjusted on certain dates due to the performances entitled “Experimental Kunqu Opera ‘The Chairs’” and “Impression of Iec Long” for the 34th Macao Arts Festival (MAF), the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday.

The ongoing festival is on until June 7.

According to the statement, the inner courtyard, front courtyard, Yuqing Mansion and Jishan Mansion of the Mandarin’s House will be closed from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. from May 24 to 26 for a number of arts festival performances.

Meanwhile, the statement noted that the erstwhile firecracker factory will close at 6 p.m. on May 28, and from May 30 to June 2, one hour earlier than normal.

The statement said that the Mandarin’s House is normally open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last admission at 5:30 p.m. It is closed on Wednesdays and is also open on public holidays, the statement added. Moreover, the former firecracker factory is normally open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and during public holidays, while it is closed form 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.
