The 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) kicked off yesterday at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Centre and is on until Monday, with the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) organising the participation of Macau’s relevant departments and cultural and creative entities at the bureau’s “Macao Creative Pavilion”, the bureau said in a statement yesterday.

There are nine participating exhibitors from Macau.

The statement noted the around 210 square metre “Macao Creative Pavilion” is promoting Macau’s cultural and performing arts events and the development of the film and television industry.

The statement said that a promotion session to introduce Macau’s film, television and video technology services to mainland industries, and also to provide information on the Subsidy Programme for Cinematographic and Television Filming as well as the Subsidy Programme for the Promotion and Distribution of Cinematographic and Television Works, will be held at the pavilion.

IC President Leong Wai Man said during her speech at yesterday’s opening ceremony that the pavilion aims to introduce Macau’s cultural events and promote its film and television services in the hopes of attracting more projects from the mainland in the future.

The bureau has been organising the cultural and creative sector’s participation in the fair since 2006. More details can be found on www.cnicif.com.
