Wang Rui, the deputy director general of the Exhibitions and Events Department of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), urged Macau yesterday to prioritise the organisation of conferences for which it already has developed special advantages.

Wang made the remarks at the Macau Business Support Centre (MBSC) in Nape where he co-hosted a press conference about the 13th China Expo Forum for International Co-operation (CEFCO 2017).

Wang said there was a raft of advantages in Macau to develop the convention and exhibition industry, including the fact that Macau is a free port, that there is a lot of support for the sector from the local government, and that the city is a blend of western and eastern cultures.
